The Wabash Center Journal on Teaching is an annual journal focused on teaching in religious and theological studies in higher education. The editors are looking for a complete redesign of their annual publication so that the format still appears scholarly, but is modernized and more mobile-friendly.
After discussing a solution that would work with their online publisher as well as their potential print partner, we decided that designing in the "digest" format would allow for a standard size for printing but also work well on moble.
I appreciated how the authors expressed themselves through their article layouts. One unique challenge was blending their vision with the digest's styling. As seen in the above spread.
I wouldn't say this if I didn't mean it; the articles in this issue are excellent, and I highly recommend checking them out and reading through them.
